Know all men by these presents that I Barney Colgan late a Soldier in the first Pennsylvania Regiment under the form of the united States being Intitled for the War became Intitled to Lands by Certain Resolve of Congress in that Case made and provided. He Allmost Addressed Constituted and Appointed and by these presents do make ordain Constitute and Appoint John Kinkead of Westmoreland County and State aforesaid my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name to make Application to the Secretary at warr pursuant to the aforesaid Lands in Order to Draft the Lotteries Appointed to Draw the Land and also to Demand to Survey agreeable to appointment — Giving and Hearby Granting to my Said Attorney the power and authority to take have and to follow Such Legal Course for the Recovering Obtaining and Possessing the Same as if I myself am personally present and upon the aforesaid to Give Such Sufficient Receipt discharges and Releases and for me and in my name to Sign Seal and Execute any one or more substitute or Attorneys under him to Substitute and again at his Pleasure to Revoke and together to do all and Singular the things which Shall or may be Requisit touching and Concerning the premises as amply fully and Intirely as if I my self were personally present Ratifying Allowing and Confirming whatever my Said Attorney Shall Lawfully do or cause to be done in and about the Premises of the Premsis —
