New York 2 July 1789 My dear Sir I enclose you the Statement and proofs of computions here — The release that is required and an extract of M^r Websters letter I pray you to have all done immediately that is necessary and [undecipherable: caption?] in like cases, and transmit the same to me, so that I may inform M^r Webster by the packet which must sail on the 15 or 16^th instant. M^rs Knox and myself have lately had our feelings severely exercised by the apprehensions of [undecipherable] our youngest child who has been at the point of death He was seized on the 28^th of June with a violent dysentery and brought to the last extremity of life in three days. Thanks be to heaven his disorder seems to be so far mitigated that we have now a prospect of saving him — We attribute his return to life to having taken him for three days to the door, and we shall again repeat the experiment to morrow With the sincerest friendship for you and M^rs Ogden I am my dear Sir Your affectionate Knox Sam^l Ogden Esq^re
