Government (tis supposed) will want a proper place in each large seaport for Naval Offices & Safe & convenient Stores for goods to be deposited to secure the payment of Impost &c. I am now compleating mine at a very great expence. in order that vessels of any size may be at the wharf in safety. The Stores by many tis tho't will fully answer the purposes of Government being very safe & Roomey. Should such a place be wanted I will either Let or Sell. as my buisness is very small at present —
I must request your Interest in this matter provided you think my place well calculated to serve the purposes of Government. Col Tucker, Coll Griffin Mr Dalton Mr Otis & others of my friends are acquainted with their Situations & I doubt not will favor you in procureing them for public use —
