Articles of a Treaty made at Fort Harmar, between Arthur St Clair, Governor [of] the Territory of the United States, North West of the [Ohio,] [undecipherable] and Commissioner, Plenipotentiary of the United States of America: For renewing all [alliances] of an [undecipherable]; regulating trade, and fixing boundaries, with Indian Nations in the Northern Department, of the [undecipherable] [undecipherable]; that the aforesaid alliances, of the Wiyan[dot] Delaware, Ottaws, Chippawa, Pottawatima and Sac Nations, on the other part ● Article, 1^st Whereas, The United States in Congress assembled, [sat] by their Commissioner, George Roger Cla[rk] Richard [undecipherable] and Arthur Lee deputies, duly appointed for that purpose: at a treaty holden with the Wy[andot] Delaware, Ottaws: Chippawa at Fort McIntosh on the twenty first day of January, in the year of our Lo[rd] one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four; continue and take them into their friendship and protection ● and take them into their friendship and protection.
