Dear Sir
Your letter of the 15 Inst with the enclosures were duly received. — by the note on Captain Gleasons orders you will find that he resigned previous to the 16 April 80 therfore not entitled to depreciation on Subsistance, the Agent of the regit has not drawn any certificate on his account. neither was Capt Gleason included in the return of the regiment — the papers of Colo Gunby I have laid before the Accomptant who says he will act on them this week. — Mr Wright, who is now here, presented me with sundry papers belonging to your, being pay Rolls &c of the Old regiment in 1776, & informed me that Mr White would explain the nature of them, & what was necessary to be done — I have examined them but cannot form an idea either from Mr Whites letter or the papers, what is required on my part — the Packet has not yet sailed & is that your letter sent some time since still remains here, probably they may move in a fortnight or sooner, they only want the arrival of one to relieve them — The return of the artillery will be ready by, & forwarded next post —
