While a copy of an Act of Assembly of Maryland [and indep?] [undecipherable]
will produce Feds. but the Anti's will in some instances
jockey the Feds. if the latter do not keep a sharp look out,
however I hope for the best — The Scale & Table of depreciation
by which some of this State's depreciation accounts were settled
is also inclosed, which I hope will be satisfactory.
I shall trouble you again about the last of the

New York Decr 29. 1788
Dear Sir,
Yours letter of the 19 inst with the inclosures,
as also the accounts of the Mary land & Delaware lines were
delivered me by Mr Wright — I have wrote this day to our
friend Richmond relative to some accounts sent me
which I cannot form a judgment on untill I am acquainted
with the nature of them and what objections have arisen
to their being passed by you or the State — I am sorry to
hear of your indisposition, but I flatter myself this weather
and the approaching season will have the same effect
on you that it had on me —
I have stated the account of Capt. Owing, but am
prevented from delivering the certificates to you in con-
sequence of an Order transmitted by Capt. Owing his Gen-
tleman in this city who has wrote to you on the occasion
the letter I delivered Mr Wright on friday last under an
expectation of his going on that day. the well continue
