Nov^r 1788. — Sir Eleazer Hudson who was a soldier in Holmes's company in the first Connecticut reg^t in the continental army and J^no Herron who served in Richards's company in 1^st regt are intitled to Pensions on acco of disabilities contracted in the service of the United States, and having been so unfortunate as to lose their discharges, desire me to write you, requesting a certificate of the time they were discharged — a certificate of this kind forwarded by the bearer, will do them essential Service — & oblige yours &^c David I.
