Pleased to inform me if this Congress has or ever will pass an act for settling my accounts. — was obliged to pay to Mr Williams two hundred and twenty pounds in specie which I thought very wrong — Shall be for ever oblig'd for your effort.

Sir It is some time since I recd yours with one indeed from Bigham and Should sooner have acknowledged it had I not been very ill with a severe cold attended with a fever from which I am thank God recovered —
While I lived in Pottstown, a Charles Washing-ton of the Invalid regt took out a writ against me for his arrears of pay, but Freedom come to town and when I had staid but a short time, the Sheriff returned it now est in enter. As I may be exposed to the like from other wrong heads & have not anything to shew that I have Settled my accounts & paid the balance into the hands of the Pay Master Genl. I must request you will send me one which will much oblige
