[132] Office of Army Accounts New York Nov 21 1700 Sir, Your letter of the 31 Ult^o was handed me yesterday, & agreeably to your request I have diligently Searched every Account and Muster Roll that could lead me to the information required by you, and cannot find Prince Negro further than the first of Jany 1782 from which time he appears to have been omitted. — As I have a wish to serve every good Soldier who has served his country, and particularly those who have been maimed in the Service I have to request you will inform me as soon as possible what regiment Prince Negro was in at the time he was transferred & who commanded the time he was transferred — at what time he was allowed to go home by Col^o Durkee & who was his Captain from time to time, also whether he ever joined the Invalid regiment these facts being ascertained will enable me to trace him & give the information required I shall inclose this to Oliver Wolcott esq^r at Hartford who I request will forward it immediately that the time may not elapse before I hear from you J.
