Lieut Pratt arrived here yesterday on his way from West Point to New Brunswick and left it in the afternoon, after having received on board his vessel the Ten Tents, and receiving a lest & drum from Mr Hagg. — His wants were expressed so Strongly and which he said he y Colo Wadsworth had convoyed to That I thought it unavoidable to promise him another month's pay (making ten for himself) if I should not hear from you by the post of this evening on that subject — he appeared much relieved by this promise and said Should it not meet your approbation, that the same might be stopped from what he Should next receive from Blanks.
Mr Pratt will receive a months pay for four privates more than your estimate mentions, being old Soldiers who have joined him — chadpen has written that he would procure them & I hope, there will be no wanting for them any, it can be but Pratt, having lent the on the dimensions of the Boxes, he says Jas will take them all — We have been obliged to Jens to McLafer also for Cartridge Boxes and several Small things with which Pratt did not supply himself at the Point — He has had him Almost Amusing the Deputies from Hagg, who was tried and [undecipherable] at the Point.
