mine of the 2d I gave you all the information relative to Price & Burke that was then in my power to give you — I have not yet heard any thing of Bird from West Point from which I am fearful it is not in my power to furnish to Harpers the stock hand it would be necessary to be at Brunswick — Would it not have been better for Mr. Bray who did the Inspects for Higher Satisfactions, to have transported the Baggage and Clothing from Brunswick to Trenton ferry and for the waggons engaged by Harpers to take them there? — Capt. Price says four waggons will not be sufficient for the Clothing however we paid for them — He talks about having the Clothing 16 complete fully being embarked on a Brigg, an impossibility to foresee the Hats without engraving them — Capt Price will visit West Point this evening or tomorrow morning by last boats, he also heard from Pratt and Leavy Hartfords until last Saturday that he could get perfectly equipped and leave the points until Monday next. I wrote him yesterday by Price that he would be led to try taking Jennings a direction from Healy who I had sent to the Point and look board on to the Trustees — I wrote you advising the man and wanted your Directions respecting him — also gave an order on Price for Musket Cartridge paper for Major Doughty which he has again written for it, which we have given on by Capt Pratt from Carlyle but there were none there — He wrote also for Birch which he now has —
The Clothing will be all packed by tomorrow night, and the two Tents will be ready
