[J Howell esq^r] Lyme 22 Nov^r 1788 — [141] Sir Eleazer Hudson who was a soldier in Holmes's company in the first Connecticut reg^t in the continental army and J^no Herron who served in Richards's company in 1^st regt are intitled to Pensions on acc^o of disabilities contracted in the service of the United States, and having been so unfortunate as to lose their discharges, desire me to write you, requesting a certificate of the time they were discharged— a certificate of this kind forwarded by the bearer, will do them essential Service & oblige yours &c David F.
