Description

Apologizes for delay in writing Wadsworth concerning money to fund the march of Lt. Pratt's unit. Pratt's company is also supposed to transport clothing for its entire parent regiment -- this will require additional funds. Since the clothing contract was made after Henry Knox left the city, so the War Office is waiting on his instructions. Expects either word from him or his arrival at Hartford [Wadsworth's location] soon. Pratt has informed William Knox that his work at Hartford is completed, and his men will march to West Point within a few days.
