Gentlemen
The bearer Mr John Wright, has been employed under Mr John White Continental Commissioner within this State and in Pennsylvania since the year 1705 and as he transacted business in the same room with me, and his duty was connected with the Duties of my Office I had very opportunity of knowing his talents and industry.
His talents as an accountant I look upon to be of the first rate and his care, attention, accuracy, and industry, so far as I have been able to judge, have kept pace with his abilities — I therefore recommend him to your friendly notice, and wish he may meet such employment as his merits are equal to —
