I have heard that a Number of Certificates for pay from August 1780 till June 1781 of Privates of the Second Pombeys Regt which were delivered to Mr Rowan & Ohatley and which are now in my hands, have been erroneous and drawn this Mistake, I have delivered out some which were of the German Rooiment and fear I have done what ought not to have been done, but I know it not, and I have again assisted some of them until I hear from you.

On my return here last week Col. Williams informed me that our Action was referred to Hon. More Man have met. Williams produced his Acct done by himself and a very erroneous one to the Amount of £704.10.6 the Amount drawn by you he refuses to shew which was 530 dollars, but know Sir I have no wishes to lay before them, therefore advantage will be taken; and perhaps will bring in the Report his amount, which will injure me very much than Man are to meet 11th Inst. a line from you on this Subject will Oblige Sir.
