Agreeably to your request I enclose you a copy of the original Warrant certified by the Register of the Treasury, granted to general Statt for a ½ pay amounting to 250 Dolls. which sum you will find has been received by Major Trophon for which he is certainly accountable to general Statt.— Mr Pierce's indisposition & absence from the office induces me to advise you that you may receive the earliest information of the transaction.
