I wish you would be so obliging as to examine the rolls of the 12th Pennsylvania Regiment & inform me if Capt Peter Withington is mustered read the 11th of May 1777, or whether he was discontinued on the rolls before that time, if either left out —

I believe you have been put in possession of all the receipts, Vouchers or papers respecting Col. Woods Acct which came now furnished, and as his Family expect that after charging him the balance which, after stating his account you will find due from him on his army settlements out of his pension [undecipherable] &c, there is to be from something considerable— I pray you will be so obliging as to state Col. Woods account as well as you can from every document.
