John Kunell affidavit 13th May 1788 On Tuesday the thirteenth day of May 1788 personally appeared before me, one of the Alderman of the city of New York John Kemble who being duly sworn on the holdy Evangelists deposeth and saith that on or about the night of the thirteenth of July 1787 a certain brown bay horse marked with a saddle mark on the rear side both his hind feet white the property of John Story Esquire was stolen from the pasture of the said deponens by a person or persons unknown and further this deponent saith not.
