Madam
Your letter of the 21st of April is received — I wish to have those original papers which you mention are in your pocketbook as fuller myself. They will enable me to settle the accounts of Capt Jones more to your advantage than the papers now before me will admit of. for this reason you will please either to send them on by the post under cover to John Pierce Esquire Paymaster General, or leave them until my arrival at Philadelphia which I expect will be in the course of this or the next week — A line from you by the first post on the subject will be acceptable to

Sir
I have seen Mr Nicholson since I returned from New York who informs me that he has not received the Money you told me you sent by the Paymaster as a present to the late Mr Hugh Bradley. I should esteem it as a particular favor if you have not sent it before this year has you, that you will look into the account by the bearer Mr Jacob Marshall — this they will be but very short at your place, and as it is a safe opportunity sincerely hope that you that you will not fail to do so — by doing which you will confer an obligation on one who wishes you Health, Wealth and Prosperity both here & hereafter — Your Yours &
