New York April 6th 1798.
Dear Sir
I wrote you the 10th of March last and sent a duplicate by Mr Haight covering his State of hand to Mr Pierce which I requested you to deduct from his depreciation and deposit the same in the Bank subject to the order of Mr Pierce — Mr Pierce requests me to inform you that he shall draw in the ensuing week for this Sum & flatters him self his draft will be duly honoured —
I most sincerely wish you to forward the Muster Rolls in your possession, the delaying them will retard the accounts of your State exceedingly, pray let me hear from you by the return of this Post —
