Dear Sir
I must again beg your attention in forwarding the Muster Pay Rolls of the Pennsylvania Line that are in your possession — in consequence of the Eastern Accounts coming on Mr Pierce expects in a few days to employ several additional Clerks, and as we may expect the Accounts of Pennsylvania in a short time, I wish to be prepared for them, you will therefore oblige me in complying with my request.
Pray Doctor, have you heard the latest news lately? I [strikethrough: earnestly] most wish to be informed and will particularly thank you for a line on the Subject.
(Signed) J. Howell Junr.
Sr Nicholas Esqr.
