I was Yesterday favored with your Letter of the 22d Ulto with the Muster and pay Rolls of the 5th Regiment Pennsylvana.
On the settlement of an Account between the United States and Secundeny Hughes late Lieut in the 5th Regiment Pennsylvania there appears due from the said Hughes to the United States the sum of 14 50/100 dolls. which sum you will please to charge him on settlement of his depreciation and transmit a certificate thereof that his Accounts may be closed in this Office.
