[346] John Nicholson Esq^r Office of Army Accounts New York March 2^d 1789 Sir I was Yesterday favored with your Letter of the 22^d Ult^o with the Muster and pay Rolls of the 5^th Regiment Pennsylvana. On the settlement of an Account between the United States and Secundeny Hughes late Lieut in the 5^th Regiment Pennsylvania there appears due from the said Hughes to the United States the sum of 14 ⁵⁰/100 dolls. which sum you will please to charge him on settlement of his depreciation and transmit a certificate thereof that his Accounts may be closed in this Office.
