Hugh Braddon was a Segt in the 3^d Regiment of Pennsylvania and regularly discharged in Philadelphia about Feb^y [undecipherable] the above was written on a letter written by said Braddon to Gen^l Wayne dated October [undecipherable] praying as he had no prospect of life that something [undecipherable] be done for his poor Children. I find it noted in my hand writing as follows on his Account of depreciation by the Master rolls of September 1777 it appears they thought Hugh Bradley had died of his wounds at the battle of Brandywine, but he was taken prisoner and kept till his taking of [undecipherable] point when he effected his escape and came [undecipherable] note Inlisted on Cap^t Moores Company [undecipherable] — M^rs Eleanor Healy administered on his Estate and I believe has the care of his Children.
