Sir
Your Letter of the 6th Inst with the Accounts enclosed were received on Friday last and agreeably to your request I have laid them before the proper Officer for Liquidation, and am in hopes they will in a few days be completed — at least those which are not objectionable, if any such should appear they shall be returned.
You will please to advise me, in what manner you wish to have the Certificates forwarded; for as they will amount to a pretty large sum I wish not to run the risque of a public or private Conveyance without authority. your Letters to me, Mr Pierce will Frank if on your duty; if he has not, you may put them under cover, addressed to him as pay-master Genl.
I am Sir with respect
