[Joseph Howell Esqr.]
Philadelphia 12th Jany 1788
Sir
When I received the letter you favored me with on the 22 of November last I communicated the Contents thereof to Eleanor Minty administratrix to the estate of the late Henry Brodsley. it was afterwards shewn to Mr Nicholson who seemed surprized that any doubt should arise after the little note. I had the honor to forward you. he has been kind enough to look again on the books and told me the Certificate herein inclosed would absolutely answer the purpose. I will be very much oblidge to you to settle it as soon as possible for the Children of their poor Man are in the most distressed situation, the Administratrix being not able to assist them. I have made a Substitution of the power given one unto Mr James Burnside, who I expect will be kind enough to see you—
