Dear Madam
I wrote you some time ago. that I would take out the certificate, of the Sum due your late husband, amounting to 209 1/70 Dollars and forward it by Some Safe private hand.
Accordingly yesterday I took out the certificate for the above Sum, No 697 Signed "Benjs Walker Commissioner" which bears an interest annually of better than 120 dollars, for 10 years past which is upwards of 1200 dollars interest — This interest is receivable in certificates of Mr Appleton. called [undecipherable]
Not meeting with any Gentleman consenting to take charge of your certificate, and presuming it might be useful to you for Some purposes, I have ventured to enclose it in a letter of this tenor and date to my friend
