[undecipherable] April 11th 1793
Sir,
I am Indebted to you for yours of 23 Ulto. [undecipherable] a Money in the hands of Thomas Commander. Please[d] which you desired me to get into my Possession. This business at present appears to have a very discouraging complexion as I cannot obtain any satisfactory Information of the Man, after finding out his Wife, she tells me a mysterious tale of his being at a great distance from this person but she is confident, however she says, she expected he would shortly be in Town. I shall be on the watch to him and do every thing in my power for recovery of the Money.
yours &c
