My dear Sir
I Should have answered your favor of the 9th instant much Sooner had the business been in much forwardness that I could have written Satisfactorily to you Indeed at present it is in a pretty loose Situation. I hope however that a few days will make Some alterations for the better. Mr Morris who carries this [undecipherable: plan?] will probably Set out from this City previously to the 26th instant. He will be able to give you all needful explanations.
I am Sorry to learn that Mrs Ogdens health is not prospering the [undecipherable] afternoon of her visit is mortifying to Mrs Knox. I Shall write to the captivated at present.
