I have written to you on the subject as fully as I now can and as I observed you will find C.W. placed to the name of the [ Matry, ?] from whose Estate the Debt is due, altho’ it will be Strike-through text but a trifle it will be of much use to Mrs. Williams, and I must therefore request of you as one whom I think is every Ready to serve the needy that you will be at a little pains and trouble to accomplish my Wish, do also think of and do what you can in Respect to John Jones’s certificates Colonel Carrington can tell you that the late husband of the applicant was not him who deserted - In a Complyance with these two Requests you will not only serve the concerned but rid me of frequent unnecessary applications. _____I am &c.
