Sir
I have this day received a letter from Mr. [undecipherable] wherein he says "Doctor Bond has requested my attention to a claim of Doctor David Gould. I find Gould is charged with £ 250 received by him from the State as Paymaster to the 2d Virginia [State] Regt in March 1778 and the same is deducted from his acct & the balance I have remitted to Doctor Bond in bills of exchange on Philadelphia if he is not there will you inform Mr Williams of it."
