I have this day received a letter from Mr. [undecipherable] from whom he says "Doctor Bond has requested my attention to a claim of Doctor David Gould, I find a Gould is charged with £ 2500 received by him from the State as Paymaster to the 2d Virginia State Regt in March 1775 and the same is deducted from his accts the balance I have remitted to Doctor Bond in bills of exchange on Philadelphia if he is not there will you inform Mr. Williams &c."
