Dear Sir
By your letter to Mr Dyson I presume you shall shortly after the arrival of Mr Swan have the pleasure of seeing you here indeed. It was a principal object with Mr Dyson that it would be a saving to the United States to comply with your request in sending Mr Swan as he can copy the accounts already formed by you and enable you to pay a visit to your family and arrange the business that was to come before you. he observed that Mr Swans salary was no additional expence to the public as he would be able to do the business without you the United States would be beneficially your absence as your present Sidney would cause on your arrival. This induced Mr to comply —
