New York — Tuesday June 12. 1787— Dear Sir Altho' I am looking out for your arrival yet I do not chuse to trust to the uncertain events that accident or sickness may produce — and therefore notwithstanding I wrote to you yesterday — in which I acknowledged the receipt of your letters by M^r. Hutchings of the 7^th Inst. I again write you to day, to enclose you a private letter from M^r. Dunscomb and a copy of M^r. Pierce's received this day from the southward — I intended to have told you in my last of the appointment of the five Commissi^ons but it slipped [strikethrough: out] of my mind — I now refer you to the inclosed note — M^r.
