Sir.
By your favour of the 18 Inst. I understand that there is a Discoverd mistake in the final adjustment of any of my Fathers Accounts the Copies being absent I am of presently to collect what ennui cause, action but the sum that you alludes to. It Cannot want Discharges nor Charges to Mr Parkinson and Receipted for by him, and Supposeds istimary to settle his accounts when legally Called upon however if there is an evident mistake, I wish it might be haltpos, but as not take the Voyage to New York if it can be avoided. I would therefore Desire you to return the Copies that I sent forward last summer by the Posters they are; and if upon examination I find the fact to be as Represented, some motions must be suggested to Render Justice to the United States, and Prehaps without going to New York, as the whole sum in Controversy is scars sufficient to defray the expenses that must arise to me — If I should be obliged to return again upon the Business. —
I beg Sir that you would Inclose the Copies and forward them by the first Post, and as the Business is of a Publick Nature I shall
