Dear Colo, Decemr 25th 1786
as you are in New York,
I shall be greatly obliged to you, to put
in a Certificate of my returning to the
Southward (Charles town) in the year 1783,

Gen. Greene — and give it to Mr. P[ierce]
who will then give me a Certificate for
