Sir
Mr Pierce has informed me that the legal of the person confined in your goal for passing altered Certificates of final Settlements, is postponed until July next; and as he cannot attend the legal, has requested me to be present at the time appointed. Mr Pierce has not mentioned the day when this trial commences, but refers me to you for information. I have therefore to request a line from you on the subject, that I may arrange my business accordingly and comply with the wishes of Mr Pierce.

Your letter of the 18. with the enclosures were Received the 21 Instant the papers necessary to the entering of Captain Watts's account I have Received from the war office — I anxiously wait the arrival of Saturdays post, as then I hope to receive an answer to mine of the 7 last —
Mr Pierce informs me you enjoy a good share of health, this I am happy to hear, as I was fearful the fatigue of the Journey, added to the more fatiguing accounts, would have operated against you. My compliments to attend Mr Duncomb, and beg you to accept the best Wishes of yours
