New York May 24. 1787 Sir M^r Pierce has informed me that the legal of the person confined in your goal for passing altered Certificates of final Settlements, is postponed until July next; and as he cannot attend the legal, has requested me to be present at the time appointed. M^r Pierce has not mentioned the day when this trial commences, but refers me to you for information.
