New York May 24. 1787 Sir, M^r Pierce has informed me that the leque of the person confined in your gaol for forging altered Certificates of final Settlements, is postponed untill July next; and as he cannot attend the leque, has requested me to be present at the time appointed. M^r Pierce has not mentioned the day when this trial comes on, but refers me to you for information.
