Sir,
Mr Pierce has informed me that the leque of the person confined in your gaol for forging altered Certificates of final Settlements, is postponed untill July next; and as he cannot attend the leque, has requested me to be present at the time appointed. Mr Pierce has not mentioned the day when this trial comes on, but refers me to you for information. I have therefore to request a line from you on the subject, that I may arrange my business accordingly and comply with the wishes of Mr Pierce.

Mr Pierce informs me you enjoy a good share of health, this I am happy to hear, as I was fearful the fatigues of the Journey, added to the more fatiguing accounts, would have operated against you, my compliments to attend Mr Dunscomb, and beg you to accept the best Wishes of yours
