Copy Letter to Genl. Knox 21st May 1787 Providence 21st May 1787 Sir Your favr. of 9th Inst. has been Recd. I shall begin tomorrow the Examination of the full Stores. the principle part of wich are in this Town. Some at Warren - Bristol Gtreenwich & at Fort Island in Newport Harbor as the Complating this business will Necessarily be attended with some expence for Labourers. House Live &c &c and it being not of my power to make the Necessary advances. I must Request you will be so good as to forward Fifteen Dollars %the first Conveyance for which I will Stand accountable. I shall go on with the Examination of the Sores in this Town, if I can Engage [undecipherable] on the lands, before the money arrives. I am Sr. with Real Esteem your most Obed. Huml. Ser. Jereh.
