Inclosed is a certificate from the Register of the Treasury for Colonel Nicola, in lieu of the one, some time Since sent to me, I will thank you to acknowledge the receipt of it when Convenient.

Mr. Pierce has informed me that the Tryal of the person Confined at Philadelphia for forging the altered Certificates, is postponed until July next— Mr. Pierce requested me to inform you of this circumstance, as your evidence is of much importance to the Conviction of the person.— he hopes that nothing may prevent you from attending at the appointed time, I am sorry for the misfortune you have lately experienced, but flatter myself you will be able to comply with the wishes of Mr Pierce
