Agreably to your request of the 5 Instant I have enclosed the certificates, of Capt Niu & Mackay and Lieul. Hughes, as also the certificates for Doctor Bond and Major Franks, for the two latter I have to request you to obtain the Treasurers order on Mr Pierce for the delivery and transmit it as early as possible—
I wish him to date the order as yesterday— the certificate for Lieutenant Stewart of General Hazens Regiment has already been issued (added to others of that Regt.) to Colonel Johnson, &c &c
I wish to know if it is consistent with the rules of the General society to grant General Muhlenbergs Certificate to that of pennsylvania, when he was considered as belonging to Virginia, if it is I am ready to deliver it on the Treasurers order, which he will please to give separate from the two abovementioned.— Yours &c Jo.
