Providence 23 rd April 1787 42 [Circled] Sir I have been honored with your ford of 14th [undecipherable] on the subject of the public Stores now in this State - as to the arms and accoutrements in the hands of Majr. Wm. Allen I have this Day Received unopened Contained in Nine Cars as they were put up & Came from New York, agreeable to your Regmnt ~ as to the Advance & Stores in Charge of W. Isiah Flagg, I shall be Ready to Review, whenever you please to give Directions for that purpose, taking for Granted that they Remain with me in trust at the Risque of the United States & that you will reimburse all Necessary Expenses I may be at in Storage - Collecting or Removal of the Said Stores ~ I have the Honor to be with Esteem Sir Your Obed [undecipherable] Jereh Olney _
