Dear Sir
On the 27th Instant I received a Letter from Cpt Alexander Power relative to the Accounts of Captain John Robb and requesting me to forward you a Statement of them that he might promote the desperation of Captain Robbs Pay. in consequence of this request I enclose you a copy of Captain Robbs account which I have settled on the last principals that the nature of his vouchers would admit of — Captain Robb has introduced a charge of 170 dollars being monies advanced to Men belonging to other companies as part bounty, but as he has not produced their Receipts or mentioned their Names neither is there any Credit given him by the Officers of the Regiment on settlement of their Accounts I cannot admit the charge — If Captain Robb is intreated with this settlement he will receive a Certificate for the Balance appearing due by sending his order to Mr [undecipherable] — Capt Robb further claims pay for April & May 1778 this pay was drawn by Capt Robert Gray [undecipherable] who has not settled his accounts —
