It is found that a misunderstanding has arisen in the Office of Accounts in the States of Pennsylvania & Virginia by both of these States admitting those Officers and Soldiers of Colonel Moylands Regiment that were originally inhabitants of Virginia and in some instances both of them settling their depreciation accounts and the latter had also made a settlement of pay & subsistence to the first of January 1782 for some of these Officers. and as I did in my settlement with the Regiment take up theirs
