West Point Sir I received yours of 8th instand by Mr Monow to sell him to the amount of one hundred and thirty dollars, part of which he wants to take in old arms that is unfit for public service, but in your letter you only mentioned such articles as was in the quarter master (undecipherable) and I have put him off till I hear from you upon the subject - he also informs me that you told him he might take some of the arms to repair and take his pay out of the (undecipherable)- their is 480 French (undecipherable)that want cleaning which he will do for 15/96 of a dollar each of you should think proper, or anything else.
