Captain Jameson was taken prisoner on the 16th November 1776 and exchanged the 6th August 1778
On examining the Books of M. Dallam I find that John Williamson a Member of Assembly [undecipherable] on the 1st March 1777 the [undecipherable] of 608 70/100 dollars for the pay & Mileage of Capt. John Jameson's Company Colonel Harle's Regiment Pennsylvania Militia, a copy of the receipt is enclosed. Whether this Money was drawn for the present applicant or not I cannot determine by Mr. Dallams Books; tho I am of opinion from the difference of the names of the Officers given of the two Companies
