Request for settlement of account
Document 1786Jones requests that the recipient settle his account between August 1, 1778(?)when he was last paid until his resignation in April 1780. He lost his papers to the British at the Battle of Brandywine, but his Muster Rolls should be available at the Public Office. He feels that he is owed a considerable sum so the recipient would do him a great favor by resolving his account.
