On settlement of an Account between the United States and Captain Joshua Williams of the late 4th Regiment Pennsylvania: I have debited him with the sum of five hundred and fifty pounds currency of the State of Pennsylvania on the 12th October 1777 Captain Williams had a credit in the books of this Office in the sum of 360 Dollars & Empries of it in the hands of the Commy paid by James Hunter & Master being for part of pay as a Supernumerary Officer this sum is reduced at the rate of 40 pr cen and a special certificate issued to him for the same — I am &c
