Sir
On settlement of an Account between the United States and Captain Joshua Williams of the late 4th Regiment Pensylvania I have debited him with the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds receiv'd of the State of Pennsylvania on the 12th October 1777. Captain Williams had a credit in the books of this Office in the sum of 360 Dollars O. Emission left in the hands of the P. M. Genl. by James Hunter P. Master being for part of pay as a Supernumerary Officer this sum is reduced at the rate of 40 for one and a specie certificate issued to him for the same —— I am &c.
