Document 1786Letter from the Commissioner of Army Accounts to Colonel White.
New York December 15th 1786
Sir
I have herewith enclosed the whole of the (undecipherable) produced by you and my observations thereon which I am of opinion you had best present to the state for allowance I should have restated your accounts but it appears to be unneccessary because almost evey part of them come properly before the state and when they do not it will be better that they be settled there. I wish you to bring with you on your return copies of all your settlement you make and obtain a General Discharge for all monies received by you from the state. I wish you much happiness in your journey and am (undecipherable) J Pierce
Colo White
