[John & John Pierce Esq^r Aug^t 9^th 1786 —] Pay Table Office Dec^r 9^th 1785 Sir I have rec^d yours of the 28^th of Nov with the enclosure, and have called upon M^r Thomas who has delivered to me his Vouchers and the Certificates which remain on hand, as soon as I shall be able to take a stating of his Acc^t I will send you a transcript thereof — I know not whether it is your regulation that I should issue any of the Certificates which remain on hand in case application should be made, be pleased to give your directions in this particular. The Assembly of this State have directed the Regimental Accounts to acc^t with the Com^tee of Pay Table for the final settlement Certificates which they rec^d from you. I find that I shall want Copies of their Rec^ts & possibly a Copy of your Register so far as respects the Certificates issued to the Conn^t Line, I must therefore request that you would transmit them as soon as convenient — I Should be glad to have all the Amounts of this State extracted from the different Offices but as those in your Office are more immediately wanted I most request that they may be transmitted without delay — Be pleased Sir to inform me who are appointed Commissioners to adjust the deb^t of the States in consequence of the Ordinance of the 19^th of October last. & believe me to be with respect your Friend & humble Serv^t Ol^r Wolcott Jun^r John Pierce Esq^r
